At the end of the ninth week
The door frame and partition going up

New wider doorway to the new access toilet

... and a water heater for the toilet and sacristy

New plaster on the ceiling drying out

kitchen units - the kitchen sink is in

... another (BIG) water heater just for the kitchen

... sleek new light fittings going up on the dry plaster ceiling

... and our electric meters renewed and neatly wired
thanks to the engineer from SSE

Kitchen progress

the serving hatch and door taking shape

the kitchen units in place

and the cooker and dishwasher...
... are waiting patiently in the church.

Meanwhile we have a new door opening
into the confessional
(that's the one on the left,
not the narrow (old) one on the right)

while inside the heating pipes are being fixed

and the work on the disabled toilet continues.

And we had the old parish room used as a
polling station on Thursday 15th November

Friday 9 November 2012

Friday and the Kitchen is taking shape
I know it looks a mess now...
it looks better in daylight

that steel pipe is holding the ceiling up now

and now the new confessional is taking shape
and from the other side the new door
from the church is ready to be opened

Monday 5 November 2012

'Twas on the Monday morning
they bricked up the serving hatch in the old kitchen
 and demolished the confessionals
- to make them bigger
outside the old kitchen

Saturday 3 November 2012

At the end of Week Six

the new kitchen taking shape

the old kitchen being transformed

the main room opening up

Work next week will see the confessional transformed; the heating system will be extended - so no heating on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Choosing carpets and decorative scheme is underway

And plenty of shelving has arrived for our storage area...
